Wonton Cups

Crispy baked wonton wrappers shaped into cups, filled with a fresh salad base and topped with savory seasoned tofu or shrimp.

Preparation Steps

  • 1 pack of wonton wrappers
Preheat oven to 160°C. Take a muffin tin and oil the cups generously with a brush. Place the wrappers into the cups and gently press them to the sides of the tin. Sprinkle the wrappers with some salt. Bake for 8-12 min until crispy. Let cool.

  • 1 block of tofu (or shrimps)
Press the tofu in a kitchen towel to get rid of excess moisture. Cut into cubes, sprinkle with salt and fry in oil until browned on all sides.

When using shrimps, fry them with olive oil, chili, salt, pepper and lemon juice.

  • Lettuce salad
  • Spring onion, sliced
  • Mint or coriander leaves
  • 1 tsp sour cream mixed with lemon juice
  • Sesame seeds
Fill cups, making sure to have salad at the bottom to prevent sauce soaking the dough. Place a piece of tofu or shrimp on top and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
